MarÃa Isabel Sánchez was born in Barcelona, Spain. She is the creator of Little People Big Dreams series of children’s books featuring biographies of children who became leaders in the areas of math and sciences, art and humanities and fought for equality and justice.
Nury's debut book was published on 2017, "3,585 Miles to be an American Girl". A beautifully illustrated book about a little girl's journey to the USA from South America. She supports bilingual literature and knows the power in helping children embrace their unique culture, language and background. Nury's second book is about parental empowerment book. It is available now- English and Spanish versions. It meets Title I Parent Engagement and literacy standards.
Co-founded by two sisters, Veoleo is a small press dedicated to Spanish books for children.
